Jay was kind enough to send me xeroxes of some of the original advertisements for Sam & Max’s appearance in Fishwrap Comics (the Fishwrap issue is the first comic in the Surfin the Highway Collection, for clarification). These are both quite early public appearances of Sam & Max, possibly the first, other than their appearance as a comic in the California College of Arts and Crafts newspaper in 1980, as they are previewing the first full Sam & Max issue released. They are both very funny, and to the best of my knowledge, haven’t been archived anywhere else on the net until now. Check them both out in high quality on the Comic Shorts page!
