As mentioned on Snuckey’s, Mix’n'Mojo, The Scumm Bar, and a bazillion other places, Monkey Island 4, titled Escape from Monkey Island, was announced on the 26th of April. “How does this relate to Sam & Max?” Well, the Monky Island 4 project is being led by (and has most of the dialogue written by) Sam & Max Hit The Road project co-leaders Michael J. Stemmle and Sean Clark. Also, of note is this quote from the chat with Dominic Armato (voice of Guybrush in Monkey Island 3 and 4):

MrCoulomb: dom_ do you see a little of the Sam and Max style humour in EMI? I think i can…_Dom_: MrC… yeah, it’s still MI goofy, but it has a touch of the Sam ‘N Max sarcasm… should make for a nice mix
