Syndicated Comic Shelved

Thursday, December 20th, 2001 by Jake

Sorry I forgot to mention this earlier but the syndicated Sam & Max newspaper comic that was announced back in April has been postponed indefinitely, or maybe cancelled (depends on what you call it and if you’re in marketing or not), since Steve Purcell is now busy working a whole lot at Pixar. Sort of a dissapointment, but who knows what’s up at Pixar now, eh?

Announcing Sam and Max.net!

Sunday, December 9th, 2001 by Jake

Are we back? Is this thing on? Hey everyone, just letting you know that if you haven’t noticed, I’m back and actually updating again! Better news than that, though, is that we’re on a brand new server, and we’ve got a spiffy new URL: http://unofficial.samandmax.net! Tell your friends!

It gets even better, though. Metallus, a webmaster at sister-site Snuckey’s, and myself have with the input and approval of board moderators iisaac and Jester, opened some brand new slap-happy Sam & Max forums, now online and waiting at http://forums.samandmax.net. What are you waiting for? Make an account and go post!

Sam & Max Cartoon on Nine Times a Week

Monday, December 3rd, 2001 by Jake

Canadians, and Americans with expensive sattelite TV setups can now catch the “Sam & Max: Freelance Police!!!” television series 9 times a week on the Canadian BBCKids network. Though they’re not making any new episodes (from what I’ve heard, which is absolutely nothing), the original FOX Kids season from 1997-1998 can be seen 3 times a day every Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the following times:

Saturday: 11:00 AM, 5:30 PM, 12:00 AM (midnight)
Sunday: 11:00 AM, 5:30 PM, 12:00 AM (midnight)
Monday: 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 9:30 PM

All times listed are Pacific time. So add an hour for Mountain, 2 hours for Central, and 3 hours for Eastern. They seem to have one feed for the whole country so those times should be accurate. For details and whatever else BBCKids has to offer, check their full weekly schedule.
