For those of you who have been wondering why the eBay Watch feature of the site hasn’t been updating like a good little script, here are some details. The script that runs our beloved watchdog half-works. In fact, we’re updating it regularly, and have been since the site re-opened! Unfortunately, it no longer outputs HTML to the site, and we believe this to be a result of eBay updating its code in the past few months. Or those damn ferrets.

DJG, who graciously donated his free time to coding the eBay Watch script for the Unofficial last year, was maimed beyond belief in a mysterious Radio Flyer/Thresher head-on collision, must now wear a bag over his head for purely medical reasons, and can no longer code the without some hooligan inevitably sneaking up behind him and turning the bag so that the eyeholes face the wrong direction. So, we’re not sure if or when the script will return, but we just wanted to make sure that you knew that we know that it’s just sitting there for now.
