Monday, December 25th, 2006 by Bryan

And with the holidays being a time of giving and all, GameTap has released Episode Two: Situation Comedy for their subscribers, and Telltale has slapped up machinima number three over on their Sam & Max page to tide the rest of us over. Remember to moderate your eggnog intake and be sure to have a happy New Year, Sam & Max fans!

Machinima, Part 2

Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 by David

You can go watch the second machinima short, entitled “Trainspotting” on Telltale’s official game site for Sam and Max right now. And you probably should. Anyone know if this exchange was a nod to pioneering series Red vs. Blue’s pilot episode? I am curious.

Whet Your Appetite for S&M

Hopefully none of you have lost your marbles just yet while awaiting Situation: Comedy’s January 5th release. However, if the cravings have started to become unbearable, a quick fix in the form of a short machinima (the first of many to come) is just a click away over at Telltale’s Sam & Max page. Go on, unravel the enigma behind the mystery meat and be merry.

Great Day to Be a Woman

Monday, December 4th, 2006 by Bryan

In the highly unlikely event that you are a female and a Sam & Max afficionado, you now have the opportunity to purchase a more formfitting version of the Max & Crossbones T-shirt to accentuate natural feminine curviness. In the equally improbable happenstance that you are a male Sam & Max fan and have a girlfriend and/or wife, you can buy your special lady friend a piece of apparel they will neither understand nor appreciate. C’mon now, it’s not like you’re going to be able to find a better Christmas gift.

The folks at Telltale Games have put up some very fresh screenshots and plot info from the upcoming second episode of Sam and Max: Season 1, entitled “Situation: Comedy”. Check them out. It’s late and I need to go to bed.

PS: The game’s out January 5. Nice.

PPS: There’s a video too! Very nice.

Situation: Comedy

Telltale has jettisoned more free stuff into the public domain, this time in the form of some choice music tracks. Based on findings from these new developments, (and observations made by our cohorts over at The International House of Mojo,) the title for the much-anticipated second installment of Sam & Max will be Situation: Comedy. If you missed out on the three previous tracks Telltale uploaded earlier, you can still conveniently find them here for your aural pleasure.

Dear Max

Friday, November 17th, 2006 by Bryan

Those lovable urchins over at Telltale have slapped up a new feature entitled Dear Max (scroll down a bit to find it), an obvious parody on advice columns such as Dear Flabby popular primarily amongst the middle-aged housewife community. Steve Purcell is open to any and all questions for the dynamically furry duo at dearmax@telltalegames.com, but it’ll be up to his finicky discretion to select what actually gets answered. Better get crackin’ if you want some bragging rights.

Crafts Take a Turn for the…Abstract

Sam and Max have entered the unenviable realm of modern art thanks to the machinations of our pals over at Telltaleobserve, and bask in its latent social commentary!

Is craftsy a real word?

Is that reference getting tired? Nevermind about that, you should go check out this gathering of Max paper bag puppets, brought to you by the Telltale Games team a few weeks ago. Come on, there’s one Max totally dressed up as Sam. This is inarguably the second-best use of time by TTG so far, apart from probably making Culture Shock.

Sam & Max Interviews!

Looking for some extra insight into the whole Sam and Max creative process? Well you have those krazy and krafty Krauts over at G-Wie-Gorilla to thank for putting Steve Purcell (part I) and Dave Grossman (part II) on the spot and finding out how it all goes down. Go on, do a little bit of reading, and be illuminated!
