It’s available now on Telltale! I have to get back to work!

Hey, what’s up? You can now buy Sam and Max: Freelance Police (the animated series) on DVD straight from the good folks at Telltale. If you’ve been holding out on getting that other major Sam and Max re-release, the Surfin’ the Highway anthology, you can now purchase it and the DVD together as a bundle! Pretty awesome.

Yes, that’s right. The Mike Stemmle is working for Telltale now as a designer. You know, that guy who was the co-director/co-designer of Sam & Max Hit the Road? Totally awesome. The other two recruits, lesser known to me, have a respectable list of Star Wars and various other games under their belt and are going to serve as executive producers to “increase the studio’s output and contribute to the company’s growth in multi-platform development.” Keep your fingers crossed for Sam & Max on Wii!

Personally, I’m not sure how Telltale can improve upon its already admirable standard of quality, but I can’t wait to find out. Good times.

Well, for GameTap subscribers. The rest of you lot have to wait until tomorrow, and if you still aren’t convinced to make the purchase, check the game’s page tomorrow for a free demo! You shouldn’t be having any doubts though, the game is amazing. Definitely my favorite entry in Season Two so far.

Here are the facts, people. Surfin’ the Highway, the Sam and Max comic book anthology, is out again, 12 or 13 years years after the original release. STH will be available in softcover and limited edition hardcover, with the hardcover copies signed by Steve Purcell. Prices are 20 bucks for paperback, 50 bucks for hardcover.

Paperback Ships February 29th (woah, it’s a leap year), while the hardcover will come out later in the Spring of this year. However, you can Order them both now!

Bask in the concept art, screenshots, and trailer to tide yourself over until the release on February 13th (the 12th if you have GameTap), two whole days before the originally announced date! Also, nipple piercings. Got to love those blokes at Telltale!

I have a hunch that you just might find the blog of Starchie Spudnoggen to be of interest, since his art resembles that of a certain Steve Purcell. I’m betting Starchie and Steve have some kind of Garth Brooks/Chris Gaines relationship going on. Delve in!
