Leonard Steakcharmer
From Sam & Max Wiki
Leonard Steakcharmer is a shady gambler who is a minor antagonist in The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball.
[edit] Character Detail
Leonard usually hangs around at Ted E. Bear's Mafia Free Playland and Casino, where he has managed to amass 10 million tokens by cheating at Indian Poker when the Freelance Police encounter him. Indian Poker is essentially a game where the 2 put cards on their foreheads and guess the results (seeing the other guy's card but not their own). Leonard cheats by using a mirror; Sam and Max counter-cheat him this way and steal his 10,000,000+ tokens. A major personality key about Leonard is that he is a momma's boy (almost admitting it in one way).
Later, Sam and Max, trying to get into the Toy Mafia are told to find the stolen famous meatball sandwhich by Chuckles. They discover Leonard has stolen the sandwhich and is selling its location to Jimmy Two-Teeth (in Ice Station Santa is it revealed he is doing this to support his child); but Leonard is run out of any defense (holding a simple cap gun). He is tied to a chair and when told hurtful "Yo Mama" jokes will give the location to Sam and Max; he is later tied up and held in captivity for the rest of his life.
For the remainder of this episode, Abe Lincoln Must Die! & Reality 2.0 he plays no role; but in Bright Side of the Moon he is fed the deed to the US (only to later throw it up). In Ice Station Santa's flashback to his debut, Max mentions that he still wants to beat up Leonard (but can't do this). He plays no role apart from existence in Moai Better Blues and Night of the Raving Dead and doesn't appear in Chariots of the Dogs.
Sometime in-between the events of Chariots of the Dogs & What's new, Beelzebub? Leonard dies (presumably from starvation or suicide) and it is revealed his personal hell consists of being locked in a closet forever (meaning he was actually in hell since his cameo).

[edit] Trivia
- Leonard Steakcharmer looks very much like Boris Krinkle from Telltale Texas Hold'Em, a fact which is referenced both by Max in The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball and by Harry Weinhead in Telltale Texas Hold'Em. Ironically, Harry mentions that Boris looks like Leonard; this could mean Season One was in development or conception during the 2004-2005 production period. Also, Boris is from New York, where Sam and Max takes place. Additionally, the phrase "only a face a mother could love" is used both by Sam and Harry.
- Using the Carbon Dater on Leonard during the events of Abe Lincoln Must Die! reveals that Leonard is only 19 years old.
