The Mole People are a species of underground dwelling humanoids resembling moles. Members of this race have appeared in every iteration of the Sam & Max franchise to date, both as allies and as enemies of the Freelance Police.

[edit] Description

A typical moleman resembles a small human with an upwards snout, long pointed ears, buckteeth and small eyes as well as clawlike hands, six nipples, and, occasionally, gray fur. They usually live underground, or in other enclosed spaces, although there are instances of some being active aboveground. The Molemen are a spacefaring race, having vast underground communities on many planets. An estimated thousands live beneath New York City.

The Devil's Playhouse reveals that the molemen were once a much more impressive species than their modern-day counterparts. In ancient times, molemen were immune to the powers wielded by Yog-Soggoth, and instrumental in banishing him back to the Dark Dimension. Molemen following the old traditions have also been able to wield powerful curses little over a century ago. It also seems that some modern-day molemen are still immune to the reality-altering power wielded by Sammun-Mak in They Stole Max's Brain! (which also ultimately originates from the Dark Dimension).

[edit] Notable Molemen

  • Doug
  • Shuv-Oohl
  • Harry Moleman
  • Two MoleMen operating under The Office who guarded the Devil's Toybox (shown in picture above)
  • Old Moleman - Benny's father who cast the protective spell to guard the Devil's Toybox. Casts both a protective curse and a bad luck curse.
  • Benny - Nefertiti's father who is very overprotective. Casts the "Sexo Rejexo Hex" which makes the victims voice a weapon against the opposite sex.
  • Nefertiti - Mole girl who is Benny's father, whose life is ruined by Sameth & Maximus seeing how they destroy both of her crushes. She is the one who (unintentionally) cast the curse on S&M turning them into skeletons.
