Night of the Gilded Heron-Shark is a 5-page Sam & Max comic first published in 1987. It introduced Mack Salmon and the Rubber Pants Commandos, both of which would return later in the animated series.
[edit] Synopsis
Upon returning to the office at night, Sam and Max are confronted by Mack Salmon and his goons. Just when a fight is about to break out after their initial conversation, the Rubber Pants Commandos suddenly appear to save the day, and the villains are quickly disposed of.
