[edit] Keep fanstuff separate

There must be no room for confusion between official material and fanstuff. Therefore:

• Keep all fanstuff in the Fanstuff namespace.
• Keep all fanstuff in the Fanstuff categories, never in the same categories as official stuff. Use the new tag for fanart.
• Never refer to non-official storylines in official character descriptions, at all.
• Don't link to fanstuff from running gag or inventory item pages. Instead, list used running gags and inventory items within the specific fanstuff page.
• Don't link to fanstuff from the List of stories and Characters pages. We'll add separate fan story and fan character lists when the need arises.

[edit] Don't upload or reuse without permission

There are some confusing details, but fanstuff makers still have certain copyrights and moral rights to their creation. Respect those rights, and don't simply assume they don't mind reposting.

• Do not upload someone else's fanart without their permission.
• Do not post someone else's entire fanfic without their permission.
• Don't reuse art or fanfics found here somewhere else without the maker's permission either.

Merely describing fanstuff should be ok, if done with the same kind of restraint as pages on official material.
