[edit] In-Depth Synopsis
The Uglions land on Earth and open a restaurant, called "The Frying Saucer". Sam, Max and The Geek decide to eat there. Not trusting that the 'mock abductions' going on around them are really just an act, The Geek decides to snoop around. Discovering a room full of ice-encased humans, she quickly returns to Sam & Max, just in time to see Max get dragged off. The three of them fight off the Uglions and head off to a nearby army base.
There they split up looking for base commander Colonel Corn. While The Geek looks for him directly, Sam & Max take the guided tour offered by Sergeant Stone. While Sam & Max just get distracted, The Geek quickly finds the Colonel and he explains things to her: the army had lured the Uglions to Earth long ago to help justify their high budgets, but found the Uglions to be unstoppable. Realizing this, the Uglions then proceeded to carry as many frozen humans as they could back to their home world. And soon enough the army will use long-range nuclear weapons against them.
Horrified, the Geek quickly seeks out Sam & Max, but is captured by two Uglions. Inside one of their flying saucers, these two turn out to be Sam & Max, disguising themselves to get access to saucer controls. The saucer turns out to be capable of time travel, so they travel to before the Uglions landed on Earth. To prevent the same thing from happening again, they change the Uglions's "recipe for doom" to use chocolate chunkies instead of humans, making them too ugly to do any horrible things to Earth.

[edit] Notes
- A title card gives this episode the title of "Sam & Max vs. the Uglions from Outer Space".
- Despite the title, The Geek is more prominent in the episode than Sam and Max are.
- The opening is a spoof of 50s B Movies, the narrator having a passing resemblance to his Twilight Zone counterpart Rod Serling and the narration itself quite more than so.
- The Geek's line "You maniacs! You blew it up! Darn you! Darn you all to heck!", which she says while in front of a half-buried statue of Max, is a reference to the ending of the original Planet of the Apes movie, in which the main character delivers a similar line while in front of a half-buried Statue of Liberty.
- The Uglions's plot, to appear friendly to humans when in reality they want to eat them, is very similar to the aliens' plot in the 1951 short story To Serve Man, which was also adapted into a Twilight Zone episode. In the story, the helpful aliens leave behind the titular book, which turns out to be a cookbook.
- Max's line "Defeated, after all mans devices and defences have failed, by the humblest things god and his wisdom, has put on this Earth", is a reference to the ending of War of the Worlds, when the scientist finds that all the martians have died from earths diseases.
- Also the second newsreporter is lifted directly from War of the Worlds specificly from the Orson Welles radio adaption.
