Sameth & Maximus

Sameth & Maximus are Sam & Max's respective great-grandparents, whose last adventure is shown in The Tomb of Sammun-Mak.

Sameth & Maximus's personalities are almost exactly the same as Sam & Max's, as are their relationship and appearance. Sameth has a luxurious handlebar mustache and a suit appropriate to the time period and Maximus wears clothes, but they otherwise look identical. Maximus also has the same latent psychic ability as Max, and sees similar hallucinatory figments in his mind, though his are all top hats and mustaches.

It's unclear what if any job Sameth & Maximus had before taking Papierwaite's challenge. They do not identify themselves as Freelance Police or anything similar (though Maximus does reply that they are the "UNtrained police" in response to being told they're not the Train Police though he also mentions being the "UNtrained conductors" as a reply to a follow-up accusation).

They also have no weapons of any kind.
