Sammun-Mak was a Child Pharaoh of Egypt, original human user of The Devil's Toybox and main antagonist of They Stole Max's Brain!

[edit] Character Detail

Sammun-Mak was born around 6000 years ago in Egypt. As the son of a sandal-maker, he started life as a lowly frog catcher before stumbling on the Toybox and a number of Toys of Power in a tomb. Having The Gift, he quickly used the Toys to overthrow the royal family and become Pharaoh himself. This reign was short-lived; he was still a child when he was assassinated by Molemen rebels. The Toybox was interred with him in his Tomb (until Sameth & Maximus recovered it in 1901). His brain and various other belongings ultimately ended up in the hands of Anton Papierwaite who put them in his Museum of Mostly Natural History.

In They Stole Max's Brain!, Sam finds Sammun-Mak's brain and puts it in Max's brainless body to help get Max's brain back. The revived Sammun-Mak still has the mentality of a child, fickle in his interests and easily amazed by modern things. He is haughty and self-important. Later, Sammun-Mak manages to touch the Devil's Toybox while it is in Skun-ka'pe's machine, and becomes the main villain when he morphs the entire world to his will. He rules with an iron fist and makes sweeping edicts on a whim. Meanwhile Max now finds himself with his body stolen by the evil ruler and with everyone else clueless to what has happened.

Following the advice of Dr. Norrington, Max and an unwitting Sam carry out a plot to assassinate Sammun-Mak again -even using the same murder weapon as before;rebel molemen providing important assistance. The plot eventually succeeds, and after Sammun-Mak's brain is removed the world changes back to normal. Max gets his body back, but the brain of Sammun-Mak lives on, returning in The City That Dares Not Sleep as the new gifted brain linked to the higher functions of General Skun-ka'pe's ship alongside Gra-pea'pe. But was killed when Max teleported to Skun-ka'pe's ship and exploded.

Sammun-Mak might be a parody of King Tut(becoming pharoah at a young age )
