Max driving; were there any instances in the animated series?

No, he didn't drive in any of the episodes. I don't think he was allowed to drive or navigate anything, other than co-pilot the MegaMax 3000 (but even then, Sam was regretting letting him control the arms). If I could venture a guess, I think the reasoning not letting him drive is because he is about the same size and height as all the children on the show. To avoid real kids from imitating, you know.
