Talk:The Street
From Sam & Max Wiki
I want to know why exactly "An unnamed taqueria" was deleted. It makes sense to me and since it was mentioned in the song, why not add it to the locations? Traveler of Game Worlds 03:12, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- The paragraph itself was vague and even I am unsure of what it was supposed to mean. When was it an actual place that we visit? And the article said it was on the corner of Bellam and Andersen, which to my knowledge is not the same way one would write Straight and Narrow. Unless it can be shown that a) the taqueria exists in real life (for Sam & Max) and that b) it is on The Street (Straight and Narrow) and the paragraph can be written coherently, I don't believe it should be there until those criteria are fulfilled. - If we are only naming places on Straight and Narrow, the whole "somewhere in the neighborhood" section should be taken out (for example, Slothmart is definitely not on Straight and Narrow). And if we are only talking about places Sam and Max actually went to, Buhalis's (in the "Exactly on The Street" section) needs to be taken out also. It was only shown in the background of one cartoon episode (I believe it is "Tonight We Love") and there is no reference to them going inside. All I'm saying, the taco stand is a reference to a real place in San Rafael that apparently has a Sam and Max equivalent in New York. Traveler of Game Worlds 02:31, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, that is true, my bad, I actually didn't see the "Somewhere in the Neighborhood" title... I feel like a bit of an idiot now... That said, did Sam actually mention it was nearby? For all we know, as he was making up lyrics to a song, he may have just added that line in with no idea if it existed or not. The Highway 08:06, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
