They Came From Down There is the 5th episode in the series The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police.

[edit] Synopsis

The Geek and Sam are performing dental work on Max in the Sub-Basement when The Commissioner calls about mysterious disappearances at Bohunk Lagoon. With the DeSoto out of action, they use a speedboat to travel there through the sewers. Soon they see a group of gilled mindless villagers walking into the water and follow suit.

This brings them to the secret base of Mack Salmon, who captures them and explains his plot to create superior Sea Chimps using the villagers of Bohunk as his zombie workforce. When he has his monster (called Muskie) try to remove Max's brain, chaos ensues and Sam manages to catch Mack. Afterwards, all the villagers get their brains back and Muskie gets to work at a tourist show.
