User talk:SuperbowserX
From Sam & Max Wiki
Hi there, SuperbowserX!
First, I want to say that we really appreciate the contributions you're making to the wiki. You've added quite a lot of content and most of it is very good! I just have a few points I'd like to make about some of your edits;
1. I noticed today that you've been adding extra villans for some episodes. In the episode, however, there is always only one main villain and that's the one we like to put in the info box. Also, a lot of the time when it seems like there are several villains, the main villain will be seen to be simply manipulating them.
2. Also, sometimes you add information that is difficult to understand or makes no sense at all. Although your edits ARE usually very good and I don't want this to sound mean at all (we could really use a few more of you at this wiki) it would be appreciated if before posting an edit you read through it incase it doesn't make sense or there are spelling mistakes, etc.
This might sound mean, but I'm really just trying to turn you, a great contributor, into a PERFECT contributor. I hope that's all OK!

- (in response to what you posted in my talk) I would have to say that rather than "unclear" I meant that some edits are worded poorly or the subject matter is vague, and there aren't any prime examples of that (because you're quite a good contributor), but instead sometimes there are parts of your edits that could be retouched before posting. Believe me, there is no way that I would be annoyed at you and your contributions, if that's how it sounded. The Highway 08:22, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
[edit] you're in luck!
Would you still be interested in an admin position? I'm getting annoyed at single-handedly taking on all the spam we've been getting over the last couple of weeks, The Highway doesn't seem to be around and you seem like the most active user lately. If you say yes in the next couple of hours I'll arrange it first thing in the morning. --Harald B 21:11, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, sorry I haven't been around much lately. I'm currently in my final exams of the 12th grade and don't have much time to do anything more than study, and haven't for the last 2 months or so. Just thought here was a good place to say where I've been. To be honest, I just checked here now because I thought "Geez it's been a while since I've helped out..." :S so yeah, that's my... thing. But I agree, Superbowser is a brilliant member and contributes tons of stuff. It would be a great idea to have him as an admin. The Highway 06:13, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'd lvoe to become an admin. Can you explain how to define exactly what is spam? And thank you very much. --SuperbowserX 06:53, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Irrelevant advertising, basically. We've got robots coming in creating pages with huge walls of text that have nothing to do with Sam & Max, topped off with a link to something they want to sell and a pointless illustrations. You should delete those pages and pictures and permaban the spambots. Sometimes they replace important parts of existing pages with spam. The "rollback" button will help there.
- I need to go now, so welcome aboard, good luck and I'll answer any questions tomorrow. --Harald B 07:42, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Here's a good example just now. Go delete this page and this picture for practice, and don't forget to ban the bots that created them. --Harald B 16:09, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
- Good. BTW, ever since I began starting using S&M, I always had its bookmark set to the recent changes button. When you go here, check Recent Changes. --SuperbowserX 18:55, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
[edit] thanks again
Sorry if I've seemed a bit absent lately. I'm preoccupied and Sam & Max is slipping from my radar a bit. Anyway I'm glad to see you're holding the spam at bay and not even letting it slow your edits much. (And they seem to be getting better too.) So thanks for that; I could use the peace of mind. I'll try to keep an eye on the recent changes a couple of times per week at least. If you need me for something and I'm not responding, pm me at the Telltale forum. --Harald B 20:55, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
